I don’t feel well, so I won’t go to work
This page contains the Japanese phrase: I don’t feel well, so I won’t go to work.
Not going to work because you don’t feel well is just not on in Japan. I remember when I came out of hospital because of food poisoning and had the day off because I was bed ridden the company I was working for phoned me up and said they could send work over to my house that day so I could work from bed. I couldn’t see straight at the time. Good old Japanese work ethic!
